Initiatives

The alarming statistics behind the early deaths of Black children are rooted in historical injustices, a lack of resources and an absence of investment in Black neighborhoods.

These are systemic problems that demand systemic solutions.

Black Child Legacy Campaign (BCLC) community-led interventions are determined through extensive research and analysis of each neighborhood. The three initiatives described below demonstrate how evidence-based strategies allow BCLC partners to have the greatest impact on their communities.
