Kings and Queens Rise Co-Ed Youth Sports and Mentoring League launches fourth season

This summer league formed in partnership with Sacramento Kings, Build.Black. Coalition and Black Child Legacy Campaign to connect communities and create positive sports experiences for youth. Innovations for Children Award presentation to be held at Juneteenth Festival

Sierra Health Foundation will present this year’s Innovations for Children Award to Dr. Natalie Woods Andrews, Steering Committee on Reduction of African American Child Deaths Co-Chair and Executive Director of Early Learning at the Sacramento County Office of Education. The presentation will be held at the Juneteenth Festival on June 19 at 2:30 p.m. at William Land Park.

Trauma-Informed Wellness Program Celebrates Juneteenth with Week of Wellness

Trauma-Informed Wellness Program community partners are celebrating Juneteenth with a Week of Wellness featuring in-person and virtual events from June 13 to 19. This event is brought to the community by the Trauma-Informed Wellness Program and The Center at Sierra Health Foundation. The program is funded by the Division of Behavioral Health Services through the voter-approved Proposition 63, Mental Health Services Act.

We will gather at William Land Park from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a Celebration of Freedom!
