Community Leadership Roundtable Members Receive Mini-Grants for Innovative Community Work

Three Community Leadership Roundtable members, in partnership with their Community Incubator Lead organizations, have received mini-grants through the Black Child Legacy Campaign to increase community engagement in Sacramento County neighborhoods that are working to reduce African American child deaths. Community Leadership Roundtable members based in three organizations, Focus on Family Foundation, Mutual Assistance Network and Roberts Family Development Center, will lead innovative efforts in their neighborhoods, including a resource fair, a money management workshop and a partner convening for young people. This is a critical first step in the process of transforming community leadership efforts from individuals trying to make a difference into a strong movement for collective organizing and advocacy in Sacramento County.
